ELLICIA MCDONALD – FOUNDER & DIRECTOR

Ellicia McDonald, our Founder and Director, is an Accountant that has a ‘big heart’ for small business and their owners. Ellicia has been in the Accounting/Finance industry for over 13 years.  Starting out as a Management Accountant within the entertainment industry for Austar Entertainment (cable TV), Ellicia then moved to providing Bookkeeping/Management accounting services for a CPA accounting firm in Bondi.  From here she started First Step Accounting Management in July 2015 which then transitioned to The Accounts Agency.

Having completed her Bachelor of Accounting in 2011, Ellicia is a voting member of the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA), an agent with the ATO (Tax Practitioners Board), Xero Advisor and Silver Partner.  Ellicia's passion is to support and help small business, not just from a ''must do for compliance'' point of view, but she endeavours help provide real information and education to business owners to assist, both in understanding their current business financial health, and in achieving their business goals and growth.  She has identified the gap for small business too small to have that internal finance department but require more to assist and guide them.

Besides her passion for Accounting and small business Advisory, Ellicia has danced since she was 4 years old having studied all of her Royal Academy of Dancing Syllabi (ballet) as a child.  In 2013, along with her dance partner, she won a World Title in Latin Dancing, a style she has danced for over a decade.  She has been blessed to have had a very successful career in dance that took her to over 35 countries in the world.  Ellicia understands hard work, dedication and the success of effective and efficient work throughout every facet of her life.
